Skin Rejuvenation
As we age, our skin goes through certain changes. It thins and loses its elasticity, causing crinkles and lines to form. In addition, aging skin has a tendency to become blotchy and freckled, especially if it has been overexposed to the sun.
The chemical peel is basically a way to remove damaged superficial layers of skin, exposing a new layer of healthier skin, resulting in a softer, more uniform complexion. In addition, a chemical peel may stimulate the growth of new cells, thereby plumping up the skin and helping to tighten it.
Obagi Blue Peel
Begin your remarkable skin transformation in less than an hour with the Obagi Blue Peel. Based on your particular skin needs, your doctor will determine the strength and depth of Tricloracetic Acid (TCA) peels and number of coats applied. A blue mixing base with built-in safeguards helps ensure consistent results.
The Obagi Blue Peel System is mainly for the face and for patients who want a fast procedure with dramatic results. In less than an hour, as a clinic procedure, Obagi Blue Peel is effective for:
- skin laxity,
- wrinkles,
- hyperpigmentation,
- large pores,
- comedones ( blackheads),
- and more.
You can expect a burning sensation that lasts only a few minutes and a bluish tint to the skin that usually washes off in 12 to 24 hours.
Following the procedure, you may experience light swelling. Within two to three days, your skin will begin to peel. This peeling continues over the next several days. By the seventh to tenth day, your skin should be healed and start looking younger and healthier.
Once your skin has completely recovered and is finished peeling, you will notice a visible improvement in your complexion. Your skin appearance will continue to improve for the next four to six weeks, becoming firmer, clearer, smoother, healthier and more youthful looking.
The Obagi Blue Peel is used in conjunction with the Obagi Nu-Derm System to enhance the effects of the peel and to sustain healthier, younger-looking skin. For best results, patients should use the Obagi Nu-Derm System 6 to 12 weeks before the procedure and then continue back on the Obagi Nu-Derm System once skin is healed after the procedure.
Procedure Peels
Procedure Precision Peeling System is a next-generation clinical treatment system that invigorates sun damaged skin, assists in the treatment of pigmentation, and helps treats acne. Procedure treatments are customised to each patient's needs in the clinic. A course of Procedure peels refreshes cell turnover rate and recreates a glowing, youthful skin tone. And while you'll see great results with your skin, Procedure treatments can be performed without any downtime.
The Treatments
L-Lactic
L-Lactic peels are ideal for refreshing sun-damaged and hyper-pigmented skin in patients under the age of 45. The L-lactic Peel promotes faster cell turnover and stimulates epidermal differentiation. This results in a reduction of fine lines and improvement in overall skin tone and texture. TCA
TCA peels are used in the treatment of sundamage & hyperpigmentation in patients over the age of 45. TCA is a medium to deep chemical peeling agent. It can affect a gently stratum corneum sloughing without traumatising sensitive sun-damaged skin. It also helps restore normal, healthy skin tone and texture.
BHA
BHA peels are used to target skin prone to pore blockages and breakouts. BHA (salicylic acid) is attracted to the lipid content of skin, particularly sebum, found predominantly in follicles. The peel helps to regulate the turnover of cells and shed unwanted cellular debris.
Ascorbic Acid + Delivery Serum
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) is a mild peeling agent ideally suited to use on highly pigmented skin (Fitzpatrick Skin Types IV to VI). Performed regularly, Ascorbic Acid Peels can help resolve uneven pigmentation and provide exfoliation benefits for more reactive skin types. Procedure’s unique Delivery Serum system delivers pure Vitamin C to the skin’s surface in a hydrating, repairing emulsion.
Your Procedure treatment consultant will customise a peel plan to suit your skin’s needs. All Procedure peels can be used on their own or layered for additional benefits, according to your skin type.
